Previous Story: The Garden of Storms
Possibly my favourite story involving these characters yet. It provides an intriguing take on the Sontarans while still keeping in line with their characters. Putting the Doctor with Zara is great, I think Peter Davison has a lot more chemistry with Laura Doddington and both characters have very clashing morals. It does leave the B-plot of this story with Abby and Leela feeling a bit dull. I think Dan Starkey is excellent as the Sontarans, especially here where he gets to portray them with a little more nuance than usual.
There were some really great twists like the Sontarans being peaceful or the Doctor playing the long game but my absolute favourite has to be the ending where it's revealed that they tricked the Doctor into changing time on his own. My only problem with this is that somehow Abby and Zara know more about this supposedly highly important event in Earth's history than the Doctor, but I can't complain as it serves the story well.
