Review of The Middle by Seagullslost

The Doctor, Constance and Flip arrive on a planet where the people are segregated by age.

As with a lot of stories it takes the whole first episode to actually discover the plot. With it being Constance's birthday, our hero's get seperated, each one having to work out what exactly is going on.

Episode 2 almost has four endings, the Doctor cries 'Noooo..." and sounds as if its going to lead into the theme, but carries on, but it does a similar thing again another couple of times.

The idea that, in reaching a certain age you then have to go from being a care free youth to a dedicated worker, is OK, but, doesn't hold up to scrutiny, you may be 35 but you might also have a baby, or young dependants. There are also one or two coincidences (Constance birthday and being the exact age to be in a different group than Flip)- but in all fairness no that much more than any other story.

But I enjoyed it, I have to admint I listened in dribs an drabs, since I didn't have the time and its not the best way to enjoy the audios.

Fair
