Previous Story: Madquake
This is what, the third story where Adric appears AFTER his death? Though it's by far the best, not a difficult thing to achieve when the other two are Time-Flight and The Boy That Time Forgot. This story proves that it can be done and it can be done marvellously. Once again, I have to say that the development and character-work that Big Finish is able to give the 80s Doctors is brilliant. I think 5 especially benefits from this.
I always talk about Peter Davison's performances in these audios because he really is that good, his reactions to the ghost of Adric are gut-wrenching and he performs it all fantastically from start to finish. It's a big help that he's backed by a similarly amazing supporting cast in an amazing character-piece
The atmosphere of this story is noticeably great, the surreality and isolation of the resort is well-realised and this story wouldn't be as great without it. This is an incredible story if you find the relationships of the characters lacking on TV and easily the best story that deals with the aftermath of Adric's death and the grief that the characters feel.
