Review of The Light at the End by dema1020

8 February 2025

This wasn't half bad by any measure.  It's a fun an refreshing take on a Doctor crossover, but one much more straightforward an in line with The Three Doctors and The Five Doctors compared to the much more experimental and strange Zagreus.  It's delightful hearing all these Doctors and Companions interacting together.  It does feel like everyone in the story gets their moment in the sun.

Where The Light at the End is weaker is in the meat of the story.  There isn't a lot to the Master's plan and the ending felt pretty empty.  It wasn't that satisfying or felt like the narrative was properly tied up in a way I would have liked.  This is especially true given the long run time of this special audio adventure.  I feel like more could have been done to give this story a little more weight.
