The creeping sense of dread in the grey Scottish town is the most effective element of this story. Alongside Jacob Dudman’s excellent two hander between himself as the ninth Doctor and himself as a Scottish teenager.

The excellent production and performance is home to an “okay” story. It’s slow and not particularly eventful, but has a real sense of place about it.
