So it's a tiny bit less interesting than the last two, but still great! King Arthur is certainly a character that I can't stand, but I guess that's the point. Guinevere, on the other hand?? She shines SO MUCH in this one and I'm glad they gave her the time to be a star. Lancelot will always be my favorite character, though, he's just the peak of comedy here and also very cute in general. Rory basically inventing democracy? Perfect. Making a woman "king"? Even better.
The finale and his goodbye to Lancelot is actually emotional. I didn't think they'd make him so fond of him in the end, since he's been bothered by Lancelot's presence so much, but I think that was just part of the comedy and what reflects their friendship is all the times they've helped each other. Rory truly, genuinely, needed a friend.
Utterly heartbroken for the obvious unrequited love but Lancelot being so, so explicitly gay for Rory in the sweetest of ways was definitely a highlight for me. In my head, Rory is never beating the Bisexual allegations. And I love Amyrory but... Y'know he deserved a kiss, idc. I'm open-minded. Let's go, gay knights, let's go.
