That grand 21st century tradition of a Big Dumb Doctor Who Finale has made its way to the Titan comics. As with Titan, there's some weirdness, the extreme topicality dating the comic (an astronaut complaining about Chris Hadfield), some questionable art (Kate Stewart looks like she's 60), but overall it's a good fun story that could've been a tv finale. A race of evil sentient suns has taken over the planet, but the Doctor and Clara stop them. The Titan comics always feel like someone has got the show about 90% of the way but they're missing the last key elements. For shallow reasons, the artist sure did an excellent job with Clara. Overall a fun finale for the comic's first run.
