Oh, this story was just such a treat.

Balances the absurd, funny and macabre to brilliant effect throughout, and by the final act just punches you in the gut with how far it's willing to take the horror and tragedy - in ways that would NEVER be allowed on pre-watershed BBC, let alone the current Disney-curated trajectory of the show. So thank God (or Frobisher) that Big Finish exists and can make audio dramas this dark and creative - as well as breathing new life into an incarnation of the Doctor I've not been much of a fan of up to this point. Absolutely fantastic.
