Review of The False Guardian by thedefinitearticle63

21 May 2024

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: The Enchantress of Numbers

It's annoying to review mediocre stories because I always have so little to say about them, atleast with bad stories there are plenty of things to talk about, this is just boring. There are some decent ideas but none of it is really very memorable.

I think Ann Kelso is a decent companion and I do like that her police training is a core part of her character, honestly this series is beginning to feel like she's the main character and the Doctor is just a side character. I don't particularly mind that as it's obviously a mystery-driven arc but I do wish the stories were atleast somewhat interesting.

I did like the guy who thought he was Mavic Chen but beyond that he didn't have much depth. I hope the second part is better.

Next Story: Time's Assassin
