And with that we've finally reached the end of the 'Older Nyssa' arc. There's been some low lows but ridiculously high highs and this is one of them. In fact I might even say this is the best story of this entire arc. It caps off the E-Space trilogy which is an extremely fitting end for Nyssa. Her adventures with the Doctor began with the universe around her collapsing from entropy and end in much the same way. The performances here are some of the best from this TARDIS team.

This story has reminded me why I love 5 as a character. He gets put in impossible situations and keeps going. He doesn't hesitate to lay down his life to save his friends. This was something that was touched on in the last story but I'm glad to see it have a greater relevance here.

I'm gonna be honest, even though Nyssa's sacrifice was confirmed at the beginning of the story, it still hit really hard, mainly due to Sarah Sutton's heartbreaking performance. It's amazing how Big Finish can improve on something like the awful exit for Nyssa in Terminus so greatly.

The framing for this story, with each companion recounting the story of what happened to Nyssa's son, Adric is just superb. I'm rambling a bit but that's because this story is just so fantastic, I can't help it. For a fairly mixed run of stories they sure have ended it on a BANG and not a whimper.
