Really enjoyable.

Once again Benny is called on for her expertise, this time to Draconia not that she wants to go. The deaths of a large number of Draconions in some massacre come ruitual suicide, makes things a little tense. Not only that but humans and females are not respected.

It is another females are lesser, and should know their place, and it is a bit done to death.

There is a skull that Benny comes across, making this story a sequel to the Dark Flame. Its been a long time since I listened to that audio - over 20 years in fact, this came out not so long after so would have fitted nicely, but I was aware, if not that clued up on events.

In the last adventure I did wonder about Bennys baby but there is mention here.

Things get a bit ugly for Benny, I mean she does go through some nasty stuff - it reminds me of Just War (so if that wasn't for you then neither is this). It is a nice relief to actually expericene our hereos going though the more unpleasent stuff, all to easily it gets skipped over, we do have a habit of not thinking about the less palletable side of life.

Yeah I enjoyed it.
