Review of The Doomsday Chronometer by Guardax

This review contains spoilers!

Part two was just as much fun as part one with the Doctor, River, Liv, Helen and more all bouncing across different times in history trying to create an evil clock MacGuffin (love me one of those). The Clocksmith is, naturally, a Time Lord. I had known about the Eight, but I imagine it was a shock reveal if you didn’t. The main issue with this story is it is so jammed with ideas and things happening that it becomes difficult to keep up. A common Big Finish complaint I have is when they do surprises with hearing a character’s voice in a different setting, sometimes I’m unsure if that was meant to be the same character (this happened with the Clocksmith). So as I understand it, the clock was made and gave the Doctor coordinates which he’s now going to travel to in order to stop doomsday (which is only happening because of the clock). For some crazy reason he’s fine leaving Helen and Liv thinking he’s dead for the time being. In the chaos the Eight has regenerated into the Nine and Liv and Helen assume he’s the Doctor (ninth Doctor, well played). A heck of a lot to get through but let’s roll onto the finale!
