Review of The Curse of Time by thedefinitearticle63

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: Revenge of the Cybermen

This story is very authentic to the era it's set in... to it's detriment. It's literally just an average Fourth Doctor story that feels like it was plucked straight out of the mind of a 70s writer. It's technically a sequel to Ark in Space but it doesn't really have any of what made that story good. I genuinely would have rather had a fanservice "look! it's this guy! do you remember him?" style story over this.

I think the recasts are rather good, both Christopher Naylor and Sadie Miller embody the characters they're playing really well. Tom Baker is his usual self here, not much new on that front. This story does feel like a way to force open a gap between Revenge and Terror for more adventures with this TARDIS team. I'm not entirely against that but if they'll be anything like this I can't say I'm too excited.

Overall, it's quite generic and safe. Not really much more to say than that.
