Oh, good god! What the hell did I just watch?!
Not even Tom Baker can save this trash story. Normally, when he's not interested in a story, you can tell by his performance, but he's still giving it a go - Surely someone must've had an issue with this! Romana does pretty well, but unfortunately she seems to only excel when she's with the Doctor, and there's not been enough of her as an independent, strong companion as of yet - In that regard, Romana I has done much better. What the hell did they do to K-9's voice?!
Oh my god. I have no words. What were they thinking?! Did no-one - absolutely no-one - have anything to say about Erato?! No-one at all?! They were just okay with green genitalia sitting on the Doctor?! Erato was handled terribly in terms of plot - at first it's seen to be the monster, but then it's not and as soon as that's revealed, the story ends, so they work out a new threat to deal with for no reason whatsoever. This could have easily been a two-parter.
The sets look okay - for 1979. Still cheap and rubbish though, can't they go somewhere without caves for once?!
The indigenous lifeforms are dull - Adrasta turns out to be the villain, then dies stupidly. The Doctor meets someone then two minutes later, when he gets into trouble, the astrologer is fawning over him. There's some strange primitive people too, for no reason whatsoever.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
