Review of The Cold Equations by Seagullslost

Steven and the newly boarded Oliver find themselves trapped in space with the air running out, Oliver has a secret but will he tell before they reach their end?

It was odd hearing Tom Allen as Oliver in the previous story to this. Him being a comedian and not one I'd think of as an actor, but he's grown on me, and with this featuring Peter Purves and Tom it works well.

The story is has two main aspects; that of the 'secret' of Olivers' and the predicament they are in. Trapped in space unable to propell themselves and little or no hope of rescue and limited air is nothing new. Though it is one of he main points I never felt the drama of it. You know that at least Steven is going to get out alive, but I was never on the edge of my seat. The real crux of the audio is the calculations Steven has to do in order to fix the situation and that really does hold the attention.

A little above average.
