Man, was I creeped out by the cover... just a shame that nothing special happened. Four's companion chronicles don't seem to do so well.
Leela seems to get on with children, especially in the Companion Chronicles. The recent stories don't really explain their mysteries about Leela, which is something I strongly dislike. Leela gets some good moments, but neither her or the Doctor get some proper characterisation that interested me.
To be honest, this story, once again, didn't leave enough of an impact on me to say anything about the monsters.
The setting reminds me of the Dalek City in the Daleks, and that was quite atmospheric at times, and other times felt quite dull. Despite this, it did feel like something that they would've made, considering their low budget.
So... Leela's dead... for some reason... and the imaginary friend of a random child... for some reason. However, she and Leela bond well and you feel the connection between them, which is good - even if it doesn't make any sense.
I'm disappointed with the Fourth Doctor's companion chronicles. I hope that Romana's stories are better, because this feels like the Leela I believed she was before I started her run properly.
