Como um fã inveterado das histórias e principalmente da Lore de Peladon, bastaram poucos minutos para o roteiro de Barnaby Edwards ganhar meu coração por completo, já considero “The Bride Of Peladon” como um dos meus áudios favoritos da BIG FINISH. Barnaby Edwards acerta em cheio entregando um enredo repleto de excelentes personagens, sua progressão narrativa é bem dinâmica que facilmente espanta o tédio de seu ouvinte, é impressionante com o escritor trabalhou muito bem com suas subtramas dá para notar um nítido capricho em como foram espalhadas pela história, todas elas são muito imprevisíveis funcionando como fios soltos que ao decorrer começam se entrelaçarem trazendo coisas surpreendentes. Falando no enredo há muita coisa para se relatar, com isso serei o mais cuidadoso possível para não soltar spoilers – Peladon já conhece seu novo rei, Príncipe Pellas, um jovem inteligente com ideias pacifistas para seu reinado, ele pretende cumprir sua promessa em torna a Princesa Pandora Of Earth (em português Princesa Pandora da Terra) em sua nova rainha, um casamento de conveniência ao invés de uma aliança de amor. Traumatizado pela recente morte de sua mãe, uma voz misteriosa assombra e manipula as pessoas que o cercam e mais uma vez a Casa Real de Peladon está ameaçada em mergulhar em intrigas, desespero e morte. Zixlyr um príncipe e embaixador Ice Warrior sucessor de sua irmã “Alixlyr”, cruza o caminho do Doctor, Peri e Erimem em busca de investigar o misterioso sumiço de sua irmã. Arktos um criminoso Arcturano se junta a Elkin um supervisor da mineração de trissilicato, os dois implanta uma bomba matando todos os mineradores em busca da substancia. O Doctor toma conhecimento da assombração misteriosa, ao tentar impedir sua ameaça ele descobre que a tal possui um envolvimento direto com um temido inimigo que se deparou em sua encarnação anterior (4° Doctor). The Bride Of Peladon finaliza entregando uma despedida triste e feliz para uma companion que amei conhecer 😊, adorei seu desenvolvimento, uma mulher de forte personalidade, viajar com o 5° Doctor trouxe muitos ensinamentos a ela quebrando vários tabus assim deixando para totalmente trás seus pensamentos de Antigo Egito, e o mais satisfatório é ver que Erimem começou a usar sua sede pelo poder para boas causas 🙂. Traumatized by the recent death of his mother, a mysterious voice haunts and manipulates the people around him, and once again the Royal House of Peladon is threatened to plunge into intrigue, despair, and death. Zixlyr, an Ice Warrior prince and ambassador successor to his sister "Alixlyr," crosses paths with the Doctor, Peri, and Erimem, seeking to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his sister. Arktos, an Arcturan criminal, joins Elkin, a trisilicate mining supervisor, and the two plant a bomb killing all the miners in search of the substance.
