🙏🏼6/10 = Fine!
Thworping through time and space, one adventure at a time!
So the Nerva Beacon tease amounted to nothing!
The third story on the set sees River joining forces with Sam, who helps her realise that Garrison Clay isn't quite as harmless as he seems. This story relies heavily on River and Sam and the fine chemistry between Alex Kingston and Jamie Parker. They work together in trying to find whatever it is that Clay is hiding from them, and that's pretty much all there is to this.
This is mostly a two-hander. We hear Clay's cooking plans in the background, and Peevy returns briefly, but that's it. This allows for some intricate character work, which is nice but not anything too special.
There's one little tense rumble at the end that sets up the last part of the set. This is the weakest cliffhanger of the lot.
