The collection starts with a spooky ghost story involving a junk world, immersive video games and long-fingered aliens. It is vividly brought to life by Bowerman reading Mark Clapham's prose. It's an effective piece which emphasises Benny's previous life as an enthusiastic academic (the first few stories in the collection are set during Benny's time at St. Oscars (her New Adventures days).
