It’s a fascinating read that’s not quite like anything else I’ve read in the Doctor Who universe. At points it’s truly excellent, though it does feel a bit uneven as a whole. Over the initial issues there is a very detailed analysis of the Draconian planet, with plenty of local political intrigue and backstabbing. Then they Absolm Daak and a local escape before we have a much briefer series of self contained stories which briefly outline stories on other planets and a very abrupt final battle.

Regardless it’s a fascinating set of characters between Absolm, the ice warrior, the draconian and the strategist. Very excited to see what happens when DWM checks back in with them many years later!
