Part One

3.5/5

I like the setting of ancient Britain under the Roman Empire. The Doctor going to Singapore for Charley’s date only for it to be a trap is cool and then having the Web of Time destroyed so the Doctor can break the laws of time is cool. Wasn’t expecting narration, especially as it hasn’t been in any other of these.

Part Two

4/5

The Doctor chasing Grayle throughout the centuries to stop his plan is a great way to keep each part fresh with a new time period and set of problems.

Part Three

4/5

I had actually things to say about this part but never mind because ‘Nimon be praised’. I do like that the Hellfire club made a reappearance as it’s a nice tie into Minuet in Hell. I’m not sure how this story will wrap up in the next part though?

Part Four

4.5/5

The conclusion of the main story was fun and I liked the Doctor returning to the Roman period to change the future and breaking the laws of time even further. Clearly all the Doctor’s interferences with time are going to have some consequences as some big villain is clearly being set up and I wonder who the Doctor is talking to at the end, which explains the narration.
