Of the conceptual Rob Schearman stories we've gotten so far in Main Range, I'd classify this as the 'worst', though, if you know Shearman, you know that isn't saying much, it still has a deeply fascinating concept explored incredibly well, with compelling writing, mind-expanding concepts, a dark and chilling tone, and a deep sense of unease. Where it falls a bit short for me is the ending, unlike every other Shearman story so far he kinda rushes the ending, which leaves you with a bit of a sour taste in the mouth, because the rest of the story is so deliberately paced, that it's a shame that the ending couldn't have been as well. 8/10
