I started with this episode over 10 years ago, and am now rewatching it as I'm getting back into Who (I stopped watching partway through 12, didn't have access to it for a while). The effects are kind of cheesy being from 2005 but this is a really good introduction to The Doctor and the concepts that make up the basics of this show. Now that I've seen some Classic who, the Autons were a nice choice to start off with (though I think Spearhead was a bit better as an episode).
