This was a very delightful and imaginative story, starting with the classic fan-service of 'oh, Doctor meets all his old companions at a Christmas party' but it very rapidly shifts as the Doctor and Clara make their way through several devious games. A full two-page spread of Chutes and Ladders is a particular delight. The inventiveness continues as the Doctor sacrifices part of the TARDIS to allow the Toymaker to continue to play, feeling sorry for him. Although The Giggle has definitely overridden this story, it still fits the move the Doctor pulled there. Overall, a fun comic!
