Previous Story: Black Thursday
I'm getting into the groove of the "Kamelion gets lost somewhere and is either controlled by or becomes the villain" format. Kamelion is just a wildly interesting character and Jon Culshaw brings a surprising amount of depth to him beyond a generic C3P0-esque robot. That being said, I understand that the Doctor is welcoming of everyone but surely if Kamelion was such a problem he would have gotten rid of him by now. Not a complaint, it's actually something that adds to the character of the Doctor in my opinion.
The actual story itself is a fairly generic parody of an 80s gameshow, but the mystery surrounding it was very entertaining to hear unfold. Once again, I like the smaller scale here. Despite this being a two-part adventure there's a lot of downtime where the characters get to chat and have tea. Normally I'd be against that but it's really nice to have simpler stories where the cast aren't constantly flung into danger. The resolution was also really good but it felt a tad messy towards the end. Overall, good fun but otherwise a standard outing for everyone involved.
