Previous Story: The Perils of Nellie Bly
Well here's a story with so much potential and barely any of it realised. Dreams are such an interesting thing to explore and can be used for some really trippy adventures. Even the presence of Daleks didn't deter me from thinking that this could have been really cool, hell I think I expected the Daleks to make it cooler.
Unfortunately this is just a very derivative story, the "dreaming" aspect of this story is not nearly as good as it could be and the Daleks are as bland as ever. The only thing I can praise this story for is Marc's ending, which I thought was brilliantly written and a satisfying end to his character, even if I think most of his stories were mediocre and his Roman origins were shockingly unexplored.
I'd like to say I wasn't disappointed by this story, after all, I don't expect much from Dalek stories, but the waste of a potentially fascinating concept is a real shame.
