Review of Mistress of Chaos by DanDunn

To date this is probably the only Thirteenth Doctor story I'd put amongst some of Doctor Who's top tier level stories. We'll see if Big Finish can make up for lost years but for now this is definitely the best I've come across from the Thirteenth Doctor, to the surprise of no one it's another Scott Gray banger that once again draws on several events from the preceding comics to create an epic finale with some fantastic artwork. The story does an excellent job exploring the Doctor's duality and has a great theme on the Doctor's works being distorted to villanise her in the eyes of the public through a series of fake news stories. Rather similar at the time to how the reactionary culture tried to exaggerate the Thirteenth Doctor era to such an extreme negative and make the people involved out to be the worst people in the world when in reality it's quite a different story. Scott Gray managed to handle this approach better than any other writer in the last few years.
