The contrast between scenes from the earliest human age and alien technology is very satisfying. I enjoyed seeing how the caveman artist stretched his mind to try and comprehend The Doctor and Gabby’s more complex language, language from another age. The reveal of the coliseum and the idea of a race of slavers who “collect” beings from earlier times is fascinating. I’m not sure they fully realised the potential of this idea, buts it’s a strong story.
