Não me entenda errado, como pode ver a nota de minha avalição o áudio ainda está um pouco longe de ser considerado como uma peça ruim, isso em vista do seu interessante conceito, seus fortes personagens e seu curioso cenário – Baseado na história dos famoso criminosos anatômicos William Burker e William Hare, a TARDIS pousa em tempos vitorianos (Edimburgo de 1827) fazendo com que o Doctor e Evelyn vivenciem esse cenário que envolve assassinatos horríveis e sequestro de cadáveres eventualmente ganhando toques de ficção cientifica. No papel tudo parece que vai conspirar para uma história muito obscura e pesada como condiz a capa do áudio, mas na verdade não acontece muito coisa. Medicinal Purposes sofre de sérios problemas na forma como Robert Ross revolve conduzir seu plot, existe uma nítida carência de eventos que não tornam seu enredo instigante, a condução é monótona se resumindo a extensas conversas onde suposições e suspeitas são levantadas entorno da problemática envolvida. Lendo algumas reviews, pude notar que muitos intitulam e creditam essa história por ser ”atmosférica”...Sinceramente, o que há de atmosférico aqui?? O barulho das pessoas no pub?? O cenário vitoriano??...Isso pode ser até um pouco atmosférico, mas não um fator forte a se destacar, ao meu ver um ponto muito raso. Se serve de consolo para os fãs do 10° Doctor, “David Tennant” se encontra no cast executando um ótimo papel do personagem Daft Jamie (pra mim, ótimo até um certo ponto...depois se torna um pouco irritante kkk). Em resumo, Medicinal Purposes é apenas uma BOA história que cai mais uma vez naquela frase: “Nossa, eu teria feito e guiado essa história de um jeito muito diferente”.
