Yeah, no, this was just excellent, possibly my favorite of the Series so far! This one is just great, so great in fact I started and finished the next Audio after this one right when I finished it, which is saying a lot considering how slow my progress has been on the Series.
It is very much a lot of Set Up and I can see why people wouldn’t like it. Personally, it does strike me as a Story where People rate it in Extremes, which either would be "Really like it" or "Really not caring for it", but that's just me.
The Dialogue is just written in such a great way and performed really well. What it does with its World building, building up a Myth in its Culture will always get a thumbs up from me, I just love those Things. Hearing Tamm as Romana back is just wonderful, and I love how well she plays off with Ward and Jameson. I especially enjoyed the Interactions between the two Romanas. In general what we get from Romana is just stellar, makes me curious if this Series is much more focused on her this time around, considering how centric Leela was in the last one (not that I am complaining, Louise is just great, just a thought). I really love what we love about Romana’s Past, and how Tamm is used in here is just so well-done! As for Leela, she shines here as well, even if the focus on her is sightly less compared to the last Story, which is understandable. Brax is also getting much more interesting for me with this Story. So much to love here. Probably K9’s best Gallifrey Outing too so far
…I think I start to like Narvin more, is that the first Sign of me becoming obsessed??
