Review of Kursaal by Carter_S

Wow. That story was spectacular. It was fast-paced, and somehow managed to spend enough time getting us attached to Kadijk and Cockaigne. Even Zaterday was likable. The mystery of the Jax society was an interesting one, and the sheer revelation of Gray being infected, and then Sam too! It was insane, and the sheer size of the planet was really something that I loved. Not to mention the death of Amy Saraband. Given the tone, I thought they would've actually "shown" her mangled body beneath the wreckage. Overall, this book gets a 4/5, only dropping one star by being a little too Chekov's Gun with the escape pod. But definitely worth a read.
