The Short Trips excel at telling low key setting stories but manage to incorporate highly imaginative and abstract ideas. This one in particular is one of their strongest as it chronicles the life of a waiter at a restaurant in India who over the years keeps seeing the ghostly apparition of the Doctor seated at a table, and those who directly interact with the ghost die not long after. It's an enticing mystery that initially sets the Doctor up as the antagonist in a very bold move, until we get the proper reveal and final twist as to what's going on and it's a very clever twist that you initially wouldn't consider.
