Previous Story: Conflict Theory

Harry Houdini is this sort of mythical figure in Doctor Who. He's someone the Doctor really likes to namedrop but we really don't get to see him that much so when we actually do you'd hope he lives up to his reputation. I can safely say... that he does. Just in this one story alone Harry Houdini is a fantastic companion to the Doctor, their implied history means we get to skip the boring bits where the new character learns to trust the Doctor. John Schwab and Colin Baker have fantastic chemistry, you'd be forgiven for thinking this wasn't their first (proper) story together.

I rarely pay attention to the soundtrack in audios but I have to say it was phenomenal here, it almost felt a bit Nu-Who-esque. The plot was very fun, I love stories where you spent a lot of it guessing what the Doctor's motives are, does he have a plan? is he under-control? Of course it was revealed by the end that Peri actually wasn't in this story at all, she was a shapeshifter who had taken the form of a familiar face. Because of putting this timeline together, I unfortunately knew about the twist beforehand but even then it was still great. A great story, no complaints.
