Review of Eyes of the Master by Guardax

Well, Dark Eyes 2 has come and gone, and on the whole I found it kind of difficult to get into. All of its stories just feel a little generic and we're doing a big arc but I have little conception of where we are going with this. None of the stories have been bad, but I think the set-up of having the first story be last narratively for the Doctor was a mistake because the characters weren't all in on the same page.

In this story we get a delightful performance from Alex MacQueen as the Master, who along with Molly O'Sullivan are responsible for me being generous and giving this a 3.5. It seems so far that the true big bad is really the Eminence, and everybody either wants to destroy it or control it for themselves. Liv is not doing much for me so far honestly, not quite sure yet why she is here and when 8/Molly were working so well.

Hopefully things start to pick up from here and the Doctor/companions can start building stronger bonds to make the emotional parts hit harder.
