This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.
Previous Story: The Magic Mousetrap
As far as Dalek stories go it's pretty good. In fact, as far as stories go in general it's pretty good. I like the base-under-siege vibes. If I had to describe this story it would be "Doctor Who meets Doom" complete with soundtrack and all. Granted, I haven't actually played Doom so feel free to ignore that statement. The song that everybody was humming did start to get on my nerves.
I'm not sure I like the way 7/Ace/Hex is going. I'm just not sure I like this whole hyper-manipulative characterisation of the Doctor, even if I do think McCoy's performances are consistently one of the best things in every story. That's not a problem with this story in particular though, moreso a general observation.
Enjoyed this one a fair bit and it's always great to have a Dalek story that doesn't make you die from boredom.
