The plot is secondary to the characters in this story. It’s impressive how much character development and inter-character relationships they have boiling away here. They do this all with a lightness of touch, keeping the story lighthearted and fun. The Advocate is such a fierce creation and I love the turncoat companion who has now joined her. I thought Martha Jones slotted in very neatly into this arrangement. The plot is pretty thin but it was all carried off so well that I’m not sure I was all that bothered.
