Review of Colditz by RandomJoke

I think I mentioned it a while back that I recently relistened to this Audio, why this one, you might ask. Well I think I did a pretty poor Job on commenting on it and I really wanted to ‘fix’ that. Having now relistened to this one, I am afraid I have to say: It clicked with me even less. I already mentioned the first Time around that there was some ‘meh’ Aspect to this Story. On its own, it’s very solid. There is frankly nothing wrong with it. Aldred and McCoy are great. Klein is an interesting Character, even if she really makes an Impact only in later Stories. I like some Twists and Turns. And of course David (Tennnat) plays it very well. The Story itself is also solid and takes it subject seriously, the Dialogue has some great Bits to it.
And yet.. I just kinda don’t click with it. And I am not even sure why. On Paper this has a lot for it going, I love a good Historicals, I love 7 & Ace and this Story and really outside a lesser Sound Design, it has a lot for it going. Still, I don’t find myself going: “Yeah that was a great one” and more a “Yeah that was okay I guess”.
To be perfectly honest, I am not sure if I explained it all that well, but I thought I still share this Thought Process, if only to get my complicated Thoughts out for it and give it a more fair shoot.
