Just recently read it for the first time, and honestly I do really like this one, I am not quite sure if I ‘love’ it, but it ranks highly for me.
While at times it can get a bit disappointing in some areas like in its execution, and I am not necessarily sold on Ace’s Characterization presented here, I think I had a good time while reading it!
Granted, I am less of a Fantasy Person, but I think it’s a good Take on the whole “Door that leads to another World” like others have already pointed out greatly.
Sure some writing can be off at times like with a few Typos (although they seemed fairly common in the VNA Days from what I heard, but I could be wrong), but still I think it has enough good Material to its Name really.
And of course, the Cover Art is just gorgeous. If I had to give it a rating, I’d say it gets a 4/5 from me right now.
