It was a strange choice to explain and ease regeneration into a new audience in a sketch not part of the main show - while the sketch works well to ensure that the audience not familiar with regeneration are introduced to the process, it would have been more natural to introduce us to this new Doctor especially in the story. This is particularly relevant considering his full debut has the Doctor asleep for the majority.

A fun little short though, laying out a good groundwork for the new Doctor.
