The original series of Gallifrey comes to a close with another twisty tale of shifting loyalties. Romana is back in a seemingly restored Gallifrey...and then we learn the entirety of the last episode took place within the Matrix. But why? In an excellent twist, we learn the Daleks are not as dead as we thought, and come back to take over Gallifrey. Romana manages to stop them, but is seemingly trapped. Narvin, who has evolved so much from his first appearances, decides it is worth it to risk all of time and space to save her. Except she never needed saving in the first place. It's an ominous ending as Gallifrey is safe...for now.
