Review of As Time Goes By by 15thDoctor

I adore the first half. ‘Doctor Who does Casablanca, but with Silurians’ is a fantastic pitch and one which is realised well on the page, with plenty of atmosphere and intrigue.

When you get to the action / adventure led second half of the story, things become a strangely paced confusing mess. There are ideas conveyed in a single frame, which needed a whole page to land properly. Characters have the ability to teleport through gas - but this was not fully explored which made things quite confusing to me with cliffhangers often feeling all too conveniently tied up.

Its a shame as the setting and core concept is so inviting!
