Previous Story: The Awakening

For a Master who only really showed up in one serial on TV, Geoffrey Beevers is phenomenal. Big Finish has easily turned him into one of my favourite Masters and stories like this are why. The focus here is very much on the Master and less so on the Doctor, so I don't have much to say about the Doctor here.

From the start you're hooked by the mystery of why the Master's TARDIS is up for auction and why so many people are interested in it. It's atmospheric and exciting and full of twists and turns all throughout that keep you engaged. I like the group of kids that bumped into the Master, they all feel like genuine people and their story is quite tragic.

It's satisfying to see it all come together at the end as it's revealed how all the characters fit into the puzzle. 5 is a bit boring here, but that's really the only bad thing I have to say about this story. This is a highlight of the Beevers' Master and if I'm being honest it's a highlight of the Master as a whole.
