This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.
Previous Story: The Demon of Paris
Yates and the Doctor are a really fun combination. Tom Baker and Richard Franklin's chemistry is really great and they really capture the feel of old friends. We finally get a proper meeting with the Demon and while it's very good, their intentions are very vague and I don't see why they manipulated Albert at all.
The quest so far the parts of the spatial geometer feel reminiscent of the Key to Time, with them finding a piece at the end of every story in a similar manner to Season 16. The little reveal at the end that Albert was recounting this story to the King is a rather nice touch.
Once again the cover is really good and these stories have some of the best covers I've seen in all of Doctor Who (so far).
