This episode is very special to me - firstly as an epic conclusion to many of the lingering plot threads this season (and beyond!) but also as a bold statement about who the Doctor is.

I love River’s speech about how the word Doctor used to mean healer or wise man, but that now it means warrior - and what that means for him.

The way this resolves the plot thread of who River is, but then continues the mystery - what does that mean for Amy? How does she get here? - just shows the brilliance of Moffat.
