TARDIS Guide

ELVIS: (lifting a microphone to his lips) Ladies and gentlemen, before tonight’s performance, I just wanna say a few words. I kinda think somethin’ happened to me tonight. I don’t know what, I don’t know how, and if I think about it, I may just damn near go crazy.

(Peri picks up the item left on the table for her by the Doctor. It is an autograph book.)

ELVIS: But somewhere out there tonight is a gentleman who I get the feeling might have saved my life.

(Peri opens the book and reads the first page. Her eyes widen and she looks down at the Doctor in amazement, before gazing in awe at Elvis standing on stage, her mouth hanging open.)

ELVIS: Doctor, if you’re out there, sir, I’ve just got one thing to say: thank you very much.

(The band strikes up the first chords of "See See Rider", the Doctor rises to his feet and stands, placing an arm affectionately round Peri’s shoulders.)

DOCTOR: No, Mr Presley, (grinning) thank you very much.
