TARDIS Guide

(The storyteller is describing his friend, Sherlock Holmes.)

He could hear a description of a seemingly innocuous event and, much like a magician watching another’s card trick, instantly seize on a detail. He might ask what a hotel guest had for breakfast, and on being told ‘kippers’ immediately know not only who committed a murder but that the forename of the man who served the kippers was Reginald.
